Who says carrots have to be orange, or edible for that matter? And while we’re bucking tradition, why not quilt and serge at the same time? This strip-pieced beauty teaches a quilt-as-you-serge technique that relies on layering – stack as directed, serge, unfold and voila! You can even serge the binding in place. Using fusible thread makes it easy to stitch the binding in place without using a single pin. Once complete, this versatile project in its pretty combination of spring prints lends a whimsical Easter look to your door, table or wall. This fat-quarter friendly project was featured in the Spring 2017 issue of Classic Sewing magazine. Bring your own fabric; see supply list for details.
