In this fun sampler, enjoy making different versions of one of the most timeless blocks in quilting:  the pinwheel.  Create eight different blocks – all tessellating, each unique in its own way.  Explore the visual possibilities of the half-square triangle as you learn about color value along the way.  Finishes at 58” square.  Bring your own fabric, see supply list info for details.

    • 4 strips, 1 1/2 inch x 12 1/2 inch

    • 16 squares, 3 1/2 inch x 3 1/2 inch
    • 12 strips, 3 1/2 inch x 6 1/2 inch
    • 4 strips, 3 1/2 inch x 12 1/2 inch

    • 60 squares, 3 7/8 inch x 3 7/8 inch
    • 4 squares, 6 7/8" x 6 7/8"

    • 12 strips, 2 1/2 inch x 12 1/2 inch
    • 5 strips, 2 1/2 inch x 54 1/2 inch (sashing/borders)

  • Supply List: Paper scissors, fabric scissors, small scissors or snips, straight pins, pencil, marking instrument (pen, pencil or chalk) and seam ripper.
    Fabrics:
    • 2 1/2 yards assorted fabric prints
    • 3 yards cream solid
  • Completion Level: Create 8 different blocks in quilt, which finishes at 58" square.
