Diamonds in the Sky is a brilliant, high contrast quilt. Deb Tucker's Corner Beam blocks are used throughout the design to build an alternating diamond illusion that simply radiates beauty. Created easily with a medley of fat quarters for the stars, the block suits a collection of 6 inch strips or scraps of bright fabric you already own. Any way you make it, Diamonds in the Sky is a dynamite, dramatic, stash-buster project. Bring your own fabric; see supply list for details.

Precutting to be done prior to class:

Assorted brights - If you are using fat quarters: cut (2) strips 5 1/2 x 21 inches (the long side of the fat quarter) for a total of 28 strips

Dark background - Cut (19) 5 1/2 inch x WOF strips, sub-cut into (128) 5 1/2 inch squares
Supply List:
Paper scissors, fabric scissors, small scissors or snips, straight pins, pencil, marking instrument (pen, pencil or chalk), seam ripper. Optional: Invisigrip

Fabric requirements:

Assorted brights - 14 fat quarters

Dark background - 4 2/3 yards

Binding - 3/4 yard

Backing - 4 yards
