Getting started in longarm quilting can be intimidating. Let Helene take away the fear as she guides you through the steps to becoming a confident and successful longarm quilter. You’ll discuss choosing the appropriate batting, backing and thread for your project. Then learn how to prepare fabric and batting to load on the frame as well as the setup of the machine itself. Helene will also share some of her best tips and tricks as you practice some simple quilting designs at the machine and discuss basic supplies that are needed to get you longarming today! Note: Two students will share a machine, so sign-up with a friend or make a new one in class when you join the fun! You’ll be surprised at how much you’ll learn between turns at the machine.
