Thread to match fabrics; small sharp scissors; fine patchwork pins; paper and pencil; rotary cutter with sharp blade (60mm is best but not required); rotary mat; 6 x 24-inch ruler; 6 x 12-inch ruler; 12-inch square ruler; sewing machine in good working order; 1/4-inch presser foot; 80/12 sharp needle; extension table; good lighting; anything you cannot sew without.

Fabric requirements:

• For blocks - 12 different 10-inch squares - 4 light, 4 medium and 4 dark - it is best not to repeat fabrics and textures. Small prints work best.
• Background - 4 yds. - preferably a non-directional print
• Binding - 1/2 yd (not needed in class)
• Backing is not needed in class and is listed on the pattern
