Online Classes Week
May 2-7, 2022
In addition to in-person classes and Expos, Original Sewing & Quilt Expo brings you live Online Classes, Zoom-style, to augment your sewing skills. Join us the week of May 2-7, 2022. Registration will open in February.
With just a phone, tablet or computer, you can bring an Expo teacher (and some new-to-us educators) right into the comfort of your sewing room, giving a boost to your sewing skills that will lend a polished look to all of your projects. Professionally moderated online classrooms using Zoom will let you interact with the teacher and moderator, keeping you on track during the session. The software is free and easy to use.
And what's more, you can watch it again and again. You'll receive a private link of the recorded class afterward to watch on-demand. Take all the time you need to learn the techniques.
How it Works
The class list, pricing, photos and more will be available when registration opens in February. Class times are listed in Eastern Time, and take place live via Zoom.
Add classes to your shopping cart and checkout. As soon as you complete your registration, you will receive an Order Confirmation email.
Each class you purchase will have its own Zoom link, which will be found in the Order Confirmation email. You'll use this link to take the class live. Then, a private link of the recorded class will be emailed within a week after class to watch on-demand. (You don't need to attend the class live in order to watch on-demand later. All students who register for the class will receive the link to the recording.)
If you do not have a free Zoom account, create one a few days prior to class to familiarize yourself with their platform. Go to https://zoom.us/ and click "SIGN UP, IT'S FREE,” to create your account.
Learn about Zoom prior to your first class to ensure that you will have an excellent class experience. Zoom has several tutorials to watch. Click here to learn how to join a Zoom meeting.
