Intimidated by a serger? Curious to know more about sewing with knits? This class will take all the fear and guesswork out of sewing with knits on a serger. Lindsey will take you through the process of cutting out a tee shirt or tank top pattern, while sharing fitting and cutting tips along the way. Next you’ll learn how to thread your serger, install the needle(s) and adjust/test the settings so they are perfect for your fabric. Finally, you’ll sew up your tee/tank and leave class with a brand new top! Bring your own pattern and fabric; see supply list for details.

- Pre-wash and dry fabric as you intend to when the garment is sewn.
Supply List:
Paper scissors, straight pins, pattern weights, rotary cutter/scissors, thread snips, 4 serger thread cones that match the wrong side of your fabric (cone thread in black, white, gray and ecru will be available for classroom use). Note: Rotary cutting mats will be available in the classroom.

Pattern and fabric requirements:
