Embark on a creative journey to design and construct your very own custom quilt coat in this comprehensive and hands-on workshop! We’ll begin by taking your personal measurements to ensure a flawless fit tailored specifically to your body. With your measurements as our guide, we’ll walk you through each step of assembling your quilt coat, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable crafting experience.

In this class, you’ll gain practical skills as we delve into various elements of coat construction. Learn how to add functional and stylish pockets, create a cozy and practical hood, and finish your coat with precise and polished binding. Our approach eliminates the need for complex curves and commercial patterns, making this project accessible and enjoyable for quilters of all skill levels.

The quilt coat design is versatile, accommodating both newly purchased quilted fabrics and repurposed vintage quilts, allowing you to infuse your coat with a personal touch and unique character. Whether you’re drawn to contemporary fabrics or sentimental vintage pieces, this workshop will guide you in creating a garment that seamlessly blends practicality with style.

By the end of the class, you’ll have crafted a one-of-a-kind quilt coat that not only showcases your quilting skills but also serves as a functional and fashionable addition to your wardrobe. Join us for this rewarding experience and transform your quilting creativity into a beautifully tailored, cozy coat that you’ll be proud to wear and show off.
