Feathers: the quintessential quilt motif. Whether you are just starting or already comfortable with basic free-motion, designer Sarah Thomas will guide you through feathers and quilty frills in this fantastic workshop. With a variety of techniques for creating feather motifs, experiment both drawing and working on the machine to determine your personal feather style. Learn how to achieve perfect continuous formal feathers, plus how to use rulers, stencils, and other items to fit and form dazzling featherwork on your quilt tops. From blocks and borders to custom motifs, this class will build skills for stitching numerous plume types and spine variations with the quilting confidence to create your own unique feather designs.
