Supply List: 3/8-inch snap; sewing thread to match main fabric (black, white, gray and ecru thread will be available for use in the classroom); hand sewing needle for snap application; rayon embroidery thread to match or contrast main fabric (a variety of Sulky rayon embroidery thread will be available for classroom use); temporary fabric marking pen or pencil, rotary cutter with new blade, 6 x 12-inch rotary ruler. Note: Rotary cutting mats will be available in the classroom.
Fabric requirements:
12 X 16-inch (or fat quarter) main fabric, samples are silk dupioni; Fat Quarter for lining
Choose one of the three embellishment techniques and bring the supplies to class:
Hand Beading Materials: An assortment of seed beads sizes 11 and 12; bugle beads; Beading needle, not the long ones; Nymo or other fine strong beading thread.
Heat Set Crystals: Heat set tool; 48—3mm crystals; 21—4mm crystals; 36 long narrow metal studs; 48 shaped metal studs (see sample).
Manipulated Machine Stitch Embellishments: A variety of machine embroidery threads (there will be a variety of rayon threads available for classroom use). If you need a specific color be sure to bring it along.
