Join us for a creative and skill-building experience with Eric as your guide!

Part One: Free Motion Thread Sketching
In the first half of the class, you’ll dive into the art of Free Motion Thread Sketching using a simple straight stitch. Eric will demonstrate various techniques to help you gain confidence and precision with your free motion work. Whether you're brand new to the concept or looking to refine your technique, you'll develop a strong foundation while stitching your initial design.

Part Two: Fabric Painting
The second half of the class brings your stitched design to life through Fabric Painting. Using the drawing you created with your sewing machine, you’ll learn how to add depth, dimension, and color with paint. This section covers a wide range of essential topics—including the best threads and needles for the job, choosing and blending paints, mastering shading techniques, and more.

Throughout the class, you'll not only strengthen your free motion skills but also gain valuable insights into combining stitch and color for dynamic textile art. Eric will also share a collection of inspiring samples to show just how far you can take your new skills.

There will be a scheduled break from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. Please note that lunch will not be provided.

Part One will be held in the Janome Sewing Studio sponsored by Chattanooga Sewing Machines-Ballroom C

Part Two will be held in the Prep Kitchen room
