The basic skirt then evolves in steps to encompass more than two dozen fashionable variations. Modifications include creating a variety of skirt silhouettes from dirndls, A-lines, gores and shaped gores to tiers, inserts and ruffles. There are over lays, wraps and faux wraps, tailored front/elastic back waist band, yoked waist bands, inseam or patch pockets, shaped hems, raw edge seams, exposed serged seams.
