Have you ever needed a quick, yet unique gift? A mug rug is a combination of a coaster and a placemat that is large enough to hold a cup, snack, or even the gift of a cup of tea. Mug rugs make great birthdays, teachers, besties, bridesmaid gifts or seasonal decorations.

Instead of buying that hallmark card, create a personalized mug rug that will last long after you’ve thrown that card in the “you know what.” The best part is the mug rug will be created using an embroidery machine, all IN THE HOOP (ITH). At the end of the class, you will have a personalized and complete mug run to show off to your family, friends, neighbors and co-workers.

In this class, students will learn to hoop the design, place and sew down the quilt patting and fabric, create the pocket, embroidery their initial, add some fun quilting and complete their project. WARNING: Mug rugs are addictive. Please call the MugRugAddictionLine.net if you need help!

I will also provide extra kits for last-minute registration registrants. The kits will contain step-by-step instructions, fabrics, batting, embroidery thread, embroidery scissors and a flash drive containing the mug rug embroidery design, in all embroidery machine formats. This will give student inspiration to continue making mug rugs on their own.
