Must be familiar and comfortable with the machine brought to class, including threading, winding bobbins, changing needles and setting stitches. Must be able to stitch accurate 1/4-inch seams.
Basic sewing skills.
Sewing machine including all cords, instruction manual, foot control, bobbins, extra needles (80/12), neutral thread and both the regular sewing and 1/4-inch foot.
You will also need a 12.5-inch (approx.) block or panel that needs a border. Bring 3 half yard pieces that play nicely and have good contrast. 24-inch straight edge and rotary cutter with new blade, any notions you normally use to sew. Note: Rotary cutting mats will be available in the classroom.
Most students will complete.
