Everyone loves batiks! Creating your own fabric is fun and easy with Cindy as your guide. She has been dyeing for years and loves to share her experience and knowledge of this artform. Cindy has an extensive collection of real copper tjaps and tjantings that you will use in class to create an authentic batik experience. You’ll work on two different methods to create pattern and texture using soy wax to make your own unique batik. The classroom will remain open for 30 minutes after the scheduled class time to allow adequate time for clean-up.
Art clothes or apron, roll of paper towels, roll of 1 inch standard masking tape, roll of Freezer Paper, Plastic tote bin with lid - approximately 23" x 17" x 6"
