The traditional Granny Square quilt block can seem daunting and time consuming to make. In this class, quilt designer Joanne Hubbard, will teach her strip piecing technique for constructing two blocks at a time instead of sewing individual squares together. Your blocks will come together so quickly that by the end of the class you will be ready to start trimming accurately and efficiently. Plus Joanne will also demonstrate two different sashing options and provide instructions for both.
 
The pattern is written for 2 1⁄2-inch strips and includes two finished size options, 56 inches x 66 inches or 80 inches x 90 inches. Once you learn the updated Granny Square block, you will be able to easily adjust the quilt size to your preference.
