Love the look of needle turn applique, but hate the time involved? Want to have smooth curves and perfect points every time? Learn how to create and assemble your own applique quilts in no time! In this class, students will learn how to do fast and easy needle turn projects using their sewing machine. This method is not only fast and easy, but it will also have you making smooth curves and perfect points every time. Kris will share all the tricks and tips she has learned making her award-winning show quilts. Best of all there’s no need to cut your quilts or remove any pesky paper!   • Supply List:

    Small sharp scissors, mechanical pencil, mono-poly thread, rotary cutter with new blade, 6 x 18 rotary ruler, Note: Rotary cutting mats will be available in the classroom. Label all sewing tools with your name

     

    Fabric requirements:

    • 2-3 fat eights of assorted green fabric
    • 4-5 fat eights of assorted red, blue or purple fabric - flower colors
    • 6-inch square yellow fabric
    • 1/2 - 3/4-yard light colored background fabric - needs to be somewhat see-through, you will be laying it on top of pattern for placement.

    Not needed for classes but will need for project completion

    • 3/4-yard backing fabric
    • 3/4-yard batting
    • 1/4-yard binding and border
  • Completion Level:

    Should get 30 to 40 percent finished.
