Back by popular demand, this continuation invites returning participants and new enthusiasts to explore a fresh NEW COLLECTION of classical African print fabrics—each with its own powerful story to tell. Known for their bold colors and symbolic patterns, symbols and meaning, these textiles go beyond fashion; they speak to heritage, identity, and community. Students will learn to recognize several classic African motifs across varying scales, colors, and designs, while gaining an understanding of their meanings and contemporary relevance through fabric. Participants will leave with the insight that fabric is more than a fashion medium—it is a storytelling language that communicates identity, values, and perspective through the wearer.
