Give classic gingham a fresh twist using the stunning color transitions of Gelato Ombre fabric! In this vibrant, technique-packed class, you’ll learn how to transform ombre fabric into a beautifully blended gingham layout using 2-1/2” squares. Quilt designer Michelle Freedman will guide you through smart tips for working with selvage-to-selvage ombres, including how to identify and pair subtle color shifts to create a plaid effect that pops. You’ll explore layout strategies, options for strip piecing, and how to use a pre-printed fusible grid for fast, accurate placement.

Whether you're a color lover or just ombre-curious, this workshop offers a fun and friendly space to explore shading, fabric prep, and piecing techniques. Students will leave with their sewn gingham top and full instructions for finishing it up at home. Come ready to play with color and leave inspired to see ombre in a whole new light!
