Get in on the fabric weaving craze! Warning: this is totally addictive. Heather will guide you through the basic foundation set up and how to weave a tumbling block textile. Then you will get to see several examples of how color and pattern play out in different ways using this technique. We will discuss what to do with your woven textile - like make a pillow! Bring your own fabric, see supply list for details.

  • Experience Level:

    Confident Beginner

  • Advance Prep:
    • Cut each 1/2-yard piece of fabric into 2-inch x WOF (width of fabric) strips (9 per 1/2-yard.)
    • Press each strip in half the long way, wrong sides together. Open up strip. On both long sides of each strip, press the fabric to the wrong side, so that the edges meet in the center of the strip that you just pressed. A 1-inch bias tape maker will speed this process up! Each strip should now measure 1-inch wide x width of fabric. Repeat for remaining (2) 1/2-yard pieces of fabric.
