Hands-on Sewing at Original Sewing & Quilt Expo
Park your machine at home! Sewing machines and sergers will be provided for hands-on classes that require them. Plus...sew up a real bargain, as road-tested classroom machines are for sale at the Expo.

When you take a hands-on Studio class, you'll step into a deluxe classroom fully equipped with the latest model sewing machines and all the necessary feet, accessories, sewing tools and notions. These accommodations all are provided on Thursday, Friday and Saturday in the Husqvarna Viking, Baby Lock, Pfaff, Serger and Janome Studios, as well as the Bernina Sewing Spot.
The Sewing Spot isn't a traditional sewing classroom. It's located on the Exhibit Hall floor, right in the middle of everything, but quartered off so you can still focus on the project at hand. Passers-by can see how much fun you're having, and may even learn a thing or two themselves.
Class materials fees – It’s more than what’s in the bag . . .
When your class includes a Materials Fee, you’re getting a lot for your money. This year, Original Sewing & Quilt Expo classrooms will use more than 4,800 spools of thread, 7,500 yards of fabric and enough batting to cover four football fields. Talk about a supply list! In addition, more than $4,000,000 in sewing machines, sergers and notions are made available for your Hands-on Studio classroom experience. You don’t have to carry a lot of supplies from home, and you get to experience the latest tools and machines. |
