What to bring to the Expo...and other useful information!
Whether or not you were a girl scout, being prepared is an essential part of having a great experience at the Expo. We've put together a list of helpful things to bring with you and other useful information.

  • Note-taking supplies, pad of paper, pencil and pen.

  • Map, directions, parking and transportation information.

  • If you have pre-registered for classes: your Class ticket package, Super prize drawing tickets, Name Badge, Order confirmation, and Class supplies (Click here to see if you are required to bring any supplies for your class.)

  • Dress in layers or bring a sweater with you because temperatures may vary within the building. Don’t forget comfortable shoes!

  • Lunch money! Food and beverage service will be available for when you need to refuel or take a break. After all, learning new things and shopping require lots of energy! As a reminder, bringing in outside food and beverage is prohibited at the Expo.

  • List of exhibitors you want to visit or a shopping list of items to find.

  • Please note that sewing machines will be provided in any Hands-on Class where machines are used on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Some More the Day Before classes on Wednesday DO require you to bring a machine, and that will be noted in the Supply List.

  • When you take a hands-on Studio class, you'll step into a deluxe classroom fully equipped with the latest model sewing machines and all the necessary feet, accessories, sewing tools and notions. These accommodations all are provided on Thursday, Friday and Saturday in the Husqvarna Viking, Baby Lock, Pfaff, Serger and Janome Studios, as well as the Bernina Sewing Spot.

The Sewing Spot isn't a traditional sewing classroom. It's located on the Exhibit Hall floor, right in the middle of everything, but quartered off so you can still focus on the project at hand. Passers-by can see how much fun you're having, and may even learn a thing or two themselves.

When you arrive
You may want to pick up these items from lobby area: Classroom Assignment List, Show Program, and Exhibit Hall Floorplan. These items are essential in making your Expo experience the best it can be. They will tell you where the classrooms are located, show you a map of the exhibit hall, give you a listing of all vendors, and list the time and locations of free presentations and stage shows!

Food and Beverage Service
Food and beverage service will be available all three days of the Expo for lunch and snacks.

Children under age 8 are not permitted in the classrooms. Children age 8 and older are permitted to attend class as long as a class ticket has been purchased for them. Those under age 12 are welcome in the Exhibit Hall at no charge when accompanied by an adult. Children should not be left unattended at any time.
