Lynn Lunoe
Rocky River, OH
Original Sewing & Quilt Expo
As an avowed non-shopper, Lynn has always made her own clothes, home decorations and gifts. It is so much more fun to sew than shop, except for fabric and sewing supplies. Lynn learned to love to sew from her grandmother and learned the finer points from her mother, an accomplished seamstress. Quite prophetically, while working on her degree in Marketing and Public Relations at Bowling Green State University, Lynn chose her beloved sewing machine as the subject for her sales demonstration in her “Salesmanship” class. The die was cast for a lifetime of sewing and selling.

One of the original staff members when Original Sewing & Quilt Expo began in 1995, she combined her Expo work with free-lance sewing, embroidery and special projects for the Husqvarna Viking® Sewing Machine Company (VSM). Eventually, Lynn went to work full-time for VSM, which is now SVP Worldwide. Fulfilling that college prophecy, she developed and presented programs to train retail sewing machine store associates across the nation how to demonstrate and sell sewing machines. Lynn served on the Husqvarna Viking and Pfaff® Product Development Teams, traveling regularly to the factory in Sweden. In 2008, she lived in Husqvarna, Sweden for three months to do final-testing on the new top-of-the-line sewing and embroidery machine.

Now as Director of Marketing for the rapidly-growing Original Sewing & Quilt Expo, Lynn is enjoying working with the creative and dynamic Expo team and the wonderful vendors, faculty and volunteers that make the Expo such an exciting and satisfying event. Now that their three children are grown, Lynn and her patient husband, Bob enjoy movies and traveling.

Kim Montagnese
Amherst, OH
AhHa!
Kim began playing with fabric and sneaking the use of her mom's "forbidden" sewing machine in the early 70s. Long before great fabric or creative classes were available, Kim was forced to make it up as she went along. She came to love the look of hand appliqué, but lacked the patience. Fortunately, a series of mistakes led to the method she uses today. Students love the "no curved piecing"," inside out" and "quilts that keep on giving" concept of quilting. Kim loves the AHHA! moment students experience and has felt privileged to share the fun for the past 20 years.

Kim's quilts have won many awards throughout Ohio, been displayed at the Denver International Airport as well as private collections across the country and also featured in Art Quilt Calendar. She is a member of Lorain County Piecemakers, Studio Art Quilters Association and Firelands Association for the Visual Arts, Quilt Alliance. Current new projects include becoming a certified Zentangle Teacher… and sharing the tangling on fabric fun at EXPO classes.

Helene Weber
Navarre, OH
My passion has always been art in any form, but I have truly fallen in love with fiber art. My background is in fine art; drawing, painting and sculpture, and I use this experience in creating my quits. Although I have always viewed quilts as art, it wasn’t until recently that I have discovered the blending of traditional art mediums ; colored pencil, paints, and inks, with quilting. I love painting and working with fabric because of the versatility it lends to the artist and I like using a variety of art mediums along with longarm quilting on my art quilts.
