Not only are pants a staple in most women’s wardrobes, they’re also easy to sew. Sadly, many women don’t make pants because of fitting difficulties. Explore fitting pants from a theoretical point of view as Sarah explains in detail the relationship between body mass (the shape of your lower torso) and the three-dimensional space pants create. She will also describe the most common pants fitting problems and why it’s most efficient to tackle them in a specific order. Using volunteers from the class, she will give several fitting demonstrations using pants muslins made from several different pattern companies, so you have an idea of what to look for in a pants pattern to fit you.
