From Layer Cake (10 inch squares):
Set aside twelve 10 inch squares {A}
From the remaining squares, cut 65: 5 inch squares
From the white fabric, cut:
52: 5 inch squares
24: 3 3/4 x 10 inch strips {B}
24: 3 3/4 x 16 1/2 inch strips {C}
26: 1 x 7 inch strips {E}
26: 1 x 14 inch strips {F}
13: 1 x 14 1/2 inch strips {G}
13: 2 1/2 x 14 1/2 inch strips {H}
13: 2 1/2 x 16 1/2 inch strips {I}
2: 5 1/2 x 80 1/2 inch strips {border}
2: 5 1/2 x 90 1/2 inch strips {border}
- Supply List: Paper scissors, fabric scissors, small scissors or snips, straight pins, pencil, marking instrument (pen, pencil or chalk) and seam ripper.
Materials:
- One collection of precut 10 inch squares, typically made up of 42 pieces of coordinating fabric (sometimes referred to as a Layer Cake)
- 6 1/2 yards solid white fabric (for blocks & border)
