You’ll need to know a bit (or more) about fit and pattern alteration. Don't waste time and money making a garment that will be thrown away because of poor fit! Instead, learn to identify common figure variations, the principles and guidelines for three methods of alteration from which you can choose – Slash, Pivot and Slide, and the newest Seam method. See demonstrations of all three, then have hands-on experience using half scale practice patterns as you perform frequently needed alterations for each part of the body. These essential skills will help you become a satisfied, successful seamstress.
