Does the thought of making Flying Geese units ruffle your feathers? Do your points disappear when sewing your “flock” together? Or maybe you love making flying geese but would like to learn to make four at one time with no waste. Do you say “yes” to any of these? Then this is your class!

Flying Geese are one of quilting's most recognized units, but they are notoriously tricky to piece well. But not when you use the Wing Clipper I tool! Along with Studio 180 Design’s amazing techniques, you'll make four flying geese units at once, make flying geese in up to 10 different sizes and learn how to visualize what your units will look like before sewing them (really helpful when using different fabrics for the small triangles). Benefitting all quilters who have struggled with this shape in the past, these techniques are must-haves for every quilter's tool box. Bring your own fabric; see supply list for details.

This workshop is designed to introduce students to patented tools and techniques which help all students increase their piecing success rate. The focus in the introductory class will be on the use of one particular tool during the session. Students will learn how to recognize the shape, how to use the tool to trim the units, how to adapt the processes to any pattern, and what the benefits are for purposely oversizing and then trimming down. Hands on practice creating a few shapes/blocks during the workshop will enable everyone to use their new tool with confidence in many future quilting projects.
