The New Tailored Shirt: A Two-Part Series
One of the most versatile components of a casual or business wardrobe, the new shirt offers unlimited design potential and wardrobe flexibility. It can be worn cropped or as a tunic, over skinny jeans or leggings. It can include (or not) bias side insets, front darts, slot buttonholes, a rotated sleeve seam that intersects the back yoke, an easy “fold and sew” sleeve placket, a cuff that is sectioned with straight grain and bias pieces…..becoming, in one form or another, a garment you reach for nearly every day.
Completion of front band and slot buttonholes, sleeve application, easiest sleeve placket ever, sectioned cuff with slot buttonholes and completion of the shirttail hem, perfectly symmetrical and consistently and attractively finished to lay flat.
