Learn to use a serger – or use a serger more confidently – in this “for Rookies” workshop. You’ll make a fun knit cardigan in the process, as you learn about basic serger functions, how to start and end seams, working with knits on a serger and construction tips including how to invisibly hem with a flatlock stitch and the blind hem foot. The project is the Cocoon Cardigan made from a downloadable pattern from Patterns 4 Pirates, which can be made either tunic length or as a short bolero style jacket using medium weight sweater knits. Bring your own fabric and pattern, see supply list and advance prep for details.
Beginners welcome
