Make a Lone Star Quilt in a day! No need to tediously cut out templates when you can simply rotary cut and strip piece for accuracy with NO y-seams. This is a wonderful BIG block (29”) that makes a great wall or child’s quilt (40” with borders). Bring your own fabric, see supply list for details.

Must know how to rotary cut and sew an accurate 1/4" seam
Recut the two 1/3 yard prints (for the star) into THREE (3) 3-1/2" strips each; cut the light background fabric into (1) 9-3/4" x wof (width of fabric) strip AND (1) 6-3/4" x wof strip
Paper scissors, fabric scissors, small scissors or snips, straight pins, pencil, marking instrument (pen, pencil or chalk), seam ripper, any other notions you can't quilt without.
Fabric requirements:
For 29" Lone Star block with Borders (41" x 41"): 1/3 yard EACH of two prints for the star (NOT a fat quarter); 1/2 yard light print for block background; 1/4 yard for inner border; 1-1/4 yard for outer border and binding.
Most to all of the center star block.
