This is the fun and satisfying next step – the practical application of Meg’s talk on Making Memories: How Quilters Celebrate Life, presented earlier in the day. The workshop is appropriate even if you don’t call yourself a quilter, or weren’t able to hear the talk (but the talk is really, really great, so if you can, please do catch it!). The exercises, done in small groups, will acquaint you with the key parts of a ritual, and get everyone into a creative groove. Then, a little thinking and writing individually, creating a "Ritual Inventory" re: your current life. After that, begin brainstorming about rituals and celebrations you want to add to your life; work in small groups with Meg’s guidance to flesh out details.

By the end of the evening, each person should have a clear idea of some new rituals/traditions she (or he) can't wait to start, and concrete ways to realize one’s own ideas. Whether you've got a big birthday or anniversary coming up; a personal weight that you're carrying; or a loved one whose life needs a lift, Meg will help you plan something meaningful and personal. If you also need a fun weekly or monthly ritual to deepen friendships or want to use ritual to help meet personal goals, that can be tackled too.
The only supplies needed for the evening are a notebook and pen or pencil.
