We love, love, love what ruler work does for our longarm quilting – the precision, the aesthetic, the creativity. With more and more innovative ways to use them and a growing geometric aesthetic, every longarmer needs a solid foundation of ruler knowledge and … practice. Learn the rules, first: which rulers to use on a longarm and how to use them safely. Move on to practice, as you learn to achieve accuracy and precision with a collection of rulers in class. Explore a variety of quilting motifs and effects using both straight and curved rulers and, of course, how to add free-motion stitching to your ruler work. Two students will share a machine, so sign-up with a friend or make a new one in class when you join the fun! You'll be surprised at how much you'll learn between turns at the machine.
