Fitting Your Hanger: A Fitting Course
The majority of fitting issues that are encountered in the upper body (jackets, blouses, bodices) originate in the shoulders and upper back: your body’s “hanger”. Once fitted correctly, many wrinkles and unsightly folds disappear, and your clothes become more comfortable. Additionally, any other adjustments you may need become more clearly defined. Each segment of this course will address one of the three measurements. Cynthia will measure each person, there will be time for practice measuring and transferring the adjustments to sample patterns.

Defined as the measurement of the angle of your shoulder from the base of the neck to the point of sleeve intersection, adjusting for the correct shoulder slope eliminates wrinkles and gaps and allows for visually correct silhouettes and more. Please note: you will be most satisfied if you take all three parts of this Fitting Course, as they work together to achieve your best fit.
